Milk with Dignity Tour: Human Rights Can’t Wait!

Friday, September 22, 2017, 7:00–8:30 p.m.
The Unitarian Society, a Unitarian-Universalist Congregation
176 Tices Lane
East Brunswick, NJ

Join farmworkers and organizers from Vermont-based human rights organization Migrant Justice for a stop on its “Human Rights Cannot Wait Tour.” Workers will inform the public about the reality of labor and housing conditions dairy workers face in the dairy industry and will share their campaign to ensure that Ben & Jerry’s—one of the largest purchasers of Vermont milk, known by many for its professed progressive values—follows through on its commitment to protect the fundamental human rights of dairy workers in its supply chain by signing the “Milk with Dignity” agreement. The tour will build support for a national day of action on October 5th calling on Ben & Jerry’s to practice what it preaches by signing…the Milk with Dignity agreement!
